The Green Sand body looks about as smooth as it could ever be, which for clarity is really smooth. But as is always the case with Foose’s work, immaculate details and an overall sense of sleekness abound. Built for an unnamed customer (hopefully not Kevin Hart), the build took more than two and a half years to complete. Signature styling pieces including the pedals, interior door panels and gauges all featured Muroc badging. Jim Griffin installed the Chip Foose designed interior and all new custom trim was added. Chip designed custom one-wheels and a two-tone butterscotch and champagne paint scheme. The suspension components and rear end were reshaped. When it came time for Jerry to finish the vehicle, he contacted Foose Design.Īt Foose, the vehicle had its body smoothed and aligned. He made a few upgrades, such as hidden headlights in the front fenders and an engine blower with built-in inner-cooler. Jerry Magnuson, owner of Magnatude, bought a fendered Muroc Roadster from Kugel Komponents when they were first available, mostly using it as a test vehicle for his successful Magnacharger supercharger program. Only 20 total production vehicles were produced, 10 with fenders and 10 without. Chip and Kugel designed the frames and Kugel component parts can be found throughout the vehicle. Marcel DeLay of Marcel’s Custom Metal in Corona, California, fabricated the productions bodies. Loosely based on the Boydster II, Chip Foose and hot rod illustrator Thom Taylor worked on the original Muroc body design.
